100% Hemp Canvas for Shoe-making

HWC2 Douglas Fir 100% hemp heavy canvas for making shoes, bags, and furniture upholstery. The Douglas First Hemp Canvas is great for heavy drapes, too.

The Douglas Fir Hemp Canvas is 14oz/sq yard. Sold by the yard; fabric width is ~58″-60″. Shrinkage of about 3-5% in the length.

Fabric: 100% organically grown European hemp
Grown in Europe. Woven at the Rawganique Atelier in Europe

Natural (undyed, unbleached).

Chemical-free. Sweatshop-free. Our organic hemp fabric is breathable and hypoallergenic.

Grown and woven in-house for true purity and environmental sustainability. Suitable for hemp shoe uppers and footbed, plus home decorating and draperies.

A master swatch photo is provided for your reference (2nd photo in Image Gallery). Not every color is available in this fabric. Please note that we use hydrogen peroxide and low-impact biodegradable fiber-reactive dyes (with no mordants) so color variations may occur from batch to batch. Natural color is unbleached & undyed, so variations may occur there as well — rainy harvest seasons result in darker fabrics; sunnier harvests result in a lighter color.
