Inspired by her concern about infection in her densely populated neighborhood, we went to the drawing board to design a two-layer organic hemp – organic cotton face covering with a pocket for additional filters and inserts to address her concern. This reversible, two-layer organic hemp – organic cotton courtesy face mask is created for all the frontline workers who prefer an organic material against their skin as well as the elderly who are most vulnerable.

While the organic cotton, linen, and hemp face masks that we have been making since 1997 are perfectly great in this age of the coronavirus, especially where social distancing is observed, many customers need more layers of protection because they are in the frontlines facing the public. The Clearbrook two-layer reversible organic hemp – organic cotton face mouth mask with a pocket for additional filters has the option of adding your choice of organic cotton fleece, organic linen knit, or organic hemp knit, which are offered at a discount when ordered together with the Clearbrook organic hemp – cotton two-layer face covering.

The Clearbrook organic hemp / organic cotton face mask is reversible. You can wear the linen side (cozily textured) or the cotton side (smooth and soft). Either way you get the best of both worlds and double protection. Linen fabric has a lot of surface area to trap pathogens, allergens, and dust, while the tightly knitted organic cotton jersey offers a smooth barrier. Together, with airspace in between, they offer comfort and protection in any situation.

The open pocket at the top allows you to add your own filter or one of our organic cotton, linen or hemp filters.

Elastic-free drawstrings can be tied behind the head or the ears.

Submerge in boiling water for 30 seconds to clean, sanitize and disinfect, then hang to dry. Steam iron as needed.
